Before Hours is a weekday walk-in availability for sick kids before the office opens for normal office hours. These visits are to enable parents to have their sick children examined early in the morning, so decisions about school and work can made as quickly as possible.

Knowing that children can been seen early should be of some comfort through the night and make planning for the next day a bit easier.

Before Hours visits are intended for relatively simple, acute symptoms such as fever, ear pain, sore throat, cough, pink eye, etc. These visits are not intended for evaluation of chronic conditions. We ask that regular appointments be made for longer standing issues.

Early morning is not the only time to have sick children seen. We also offer same-day sick appointments throughout the day. Please contact the office by phone or through the patient portal if you would like to schedule a sick visit later in the day.

There is always a provider on call when the office is closed. If your child has a life threatening emergency, call 911. For urgent matters after hours, you can reach our answering service at: 240-638-9730. An experienced licensed RN will be answering calls after hours for urgent matters. The RN will page the on call provider if necessary. Calls such as prescription refills, referrals, medical records and billing inquiries, should be made during regular business hours.
